Screw the Marmite crisis - hate it - so perhaps the only positive thing about Brexit because nothing else is!

Australia created it's national food, Vegemite, when Marmite ran out in WWI I believe. :-)

Not unlike trying to consume burnt coca cola as I recall though.

I've tried Vegemite and I don't find it a patch on the original!

Dave's right about the love or hate thing though- they've run a hugely successful advertising campaign on that schtick for years!

That's going to get really annoying if it starts to effect too many products. :o

Breakfast or Brexit?.*trying to be silly*

I grew up on having Vegemite on toast but I haven't had it recently.

I don't like when reporters make celebrities or the like try it because ninety-nine percent of the time they hate it. Of course it may taste weird on its own, its consists mainly of yeast!. It's suppose to be a spread. You add it with bread.

Sorry, its just a little pet peeve of mine. I can admit that it is an acquired taste...

NO,do not be sorry. It is a running joke here in the UK - you either love it or hate it.

Okay, I take it back.:D

We have other Australia made food products like chocolate Tim Tams.

I remember when they weren't available in America and Jennifer Love Hewitt got it as a gift when she visited Australia.
