Date: 2016-10-21 03:39 am (UTC)I smoked a pipe, long, long ago, when I was but a lad in University. I thought it made me look older and much more sophisticated. Damned difficult keeping lit mind you. And it wouldn't take me long to get a nice bit of drool collected in the stem. The sound of sucking is much like what I hear when people are vaping, which causes me to grimace, because there was nothing more bitter a taste than tobacco spit. I'd have to take the stem apart and tap the spit out. Maybe if pipes had those little spit holes the way brass instruments have.
I did like the taste of the cherry tobacco however. Reminded me so much of my grandpa.
It really was more trouble than it was worth to me. But I quite liked my pipe.
