Travelled up to Camden,London today to drop work off to Outlook Research and have a look around - which was the maim reason! Picked up three CD's - the latest Trunk CD "The Tomorrrow People" for £8 ,Simon Fisher Turner "Lana Lara Lata" (Mute 2005) for £5 and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds "B-Sides and Rarities" (Mute 3CD box set) for £9.
Noticed a new Fopp outlet as well. just before the brifdge as you enter Camden Lock itself. Had a quck look around. Camden is still very bohemian in many ways. The choice of out and out strange music to buy is fantastic there. Lots of John Zorn stuff which i couldn't afford at the moment as well.
Read some of the Joe Boyd biography on my journy both ways.
MOVIES AND FILM
Just some of the movies and music related DVD's i have been into and have in my colllection (with photos where possible) courtesy of hppt://frazy,com/ which now lists films and books as well as CD's to grab pictures from.

The recently bought Toumani Diabate CD has a short 20 min DVD with it which gives the history of the griot tradition, explains how the kora is played and the idea of the Symmetric Orchesta. Also did you know that in the Manding language "Mali" means "Hippopotamu"!
