It's about time they got rid off John Prescott.He is now a total joke and his position has to be untenable.He has usurped his position far too much. I don't often get into the smutty affairs of politics on my blog - BUT ,apart from seeing his ugly face in the media,he is now beyond his sell by date.

He once said of the Millennium Dome: "If we can't make this work then we're not much of a government". For once he could not have been more correct. The dome has turned out to be a gigantic flop and a reflection of this Government's chronic incompetence and contempt for public money. In my book he is a symbol of Labour's failure. He and the dome have both been a scandolous drain on public funds, without serving any purpose. And Prescott wants to concrete over half of the Southeast. He is a legacy of political vanity. But Blair keeps him in Cabinet as a useful idiot. His presence deflects public anger away from Blair. It is an outrage that we have to continue to pay for the upkeep of this fool. And this won't gain me any friends to the left. Shucks.
