Forgot the normal morning gif - on well. I decided to do the last remaining charity shop in the Romney Marsh area, which i could not do when i did Hythe due to lack of time. This was at New Romney ,which i have just completed, and then had a pint of Gadds No.5 (4.4 % ABV) at another new micro pub,The Smugglers Alehouse. The name is redolent of days of yore when smuggling from the continent was big business. I wonder if it still is?
Romney itself is in the sticks,in the wild so to speak.A few miles from Dungeness and the nuclear power station. This is also the area where the cancelled RSPB shop job visit i was going to do last week. The reserve is easy to get to via the 11 bus from Ashford or the 102 bus from Folkestone.
Anyway,i bought three paperbacks for £4.50. Details later.
I am now travelling on the Stagecoach 101 bus to Folkestone (the route is known as the Wave). This bus has the latest tech on them such as UDB charging points for your mobile phone and free on board WiFi.
I have some pics to load up and will do in my next post when i reach Folkestone or Canterbury.
