Phew! rather sticky hot day despite some thunder and rain today. Didn't work at all. Too hot.
Went to Hove and xchaged some records ,well CD's, at Fine Records, saw Julian and got a good deal. Got Hans Werner Henze "Symphonies 1 - 6" conducted by Henze (Deutsche Grammmophon 1995) and "Beethoven Piano Sonatas vol.8" by Janos Jando (Naxos CD).Just had to pay £1.82 difference.
Bought some items in Hove from charity shops for the stall, plus a nice Tim Burton film book which i might keep.
Had a beer at Weatherspoons in George Steert. It was about midday anyway.
Back in Brighton i popped into Snoopers to add some Lp's and books to the stall, and tidied up. Added a couple more graphic novels as well.
Popped into Borderline and bought a Cd in their sale from the great Buda Musique label - "Zanzibara 2" ,subtitled "L'age d'or du taarab de Mombasa" - down to £7.99. Vol.1 was also in the sale which i put aside for Friday. Also put aside from Across The Tracks another Old Hat label Cd which i haven't got. Yep,more old timey music, blues, country and bluegrass from the inter-war years.
So at home listening to my Ehhiopiques Vol 2 CD on Buda Musique. Just great world music. What more do you want?
Anyway got some paperwork to do so i shall do listening to Henze then Gloria Coates.
Almost, finally, a link to Mark Pawson's zine reviews.

I am toying with the idea of a separate blog,a community one like Steve's but centering on lost vinyl treasures,Cd's and singles ,that haven't got a mention elsewhere before or such like, starting with the ouvre of DJ Ordeal, and his gran on Spartacus Stragazer label.
Popped into the Crane Kalman Gallery in Kensington Gdns, not far from Brighton Books,to see the Cult Poster Art exhibition with such classic films as "Get Carter","Dirty Harry","Modesy Blaise", a film by Andy Warhol (the title escapes my memory at the moment),and many others. I know,I should have brought a jotter with me,like most good web journos should do!All limited edition posters are for sale from about £200!!! One of them is selling in the four figure mark! Link to their website is http://www.cranekalmanbrighton.com.

Lovely posters!!
