Wicker Man Remake
Aug. 9th, 2006 08:55 amOh no,those damn Hollywood movie idiots have remade the Wicker Man starring Nicholas Cage. By the comments i have read blogwise and so on,it's a total abomination. It's not even set in Scotland and Lord Summerisle is a woman - for christ's sake!! (no pun intended). So folks you better buy the DVD of the original, and if you can find it, the sexcellent folksy oundtrack CD by Paul Giovanni on Johnny Trunk's Trunk Records label.Oh and some of the lyrics are by Robbie Burns.

Trust the Americans to ruin such a good film, and i think even our overseas readers would agree.
So i shall now play said CD to wash out the horrible idea of a U.S. (hmm, useless) remake.

Date: 2006-08-10 02:43 pm (UTC)I recommend the film of All The Little Animals from a few years back - Christian Bale and John Hurt in an adaptation of the Walker Hamilton novel. Shares a pleasing British quality with The Wicker Man, I think.
