The Ex Libris Reaction

Libraries around the country are already facing hard times but now there is another nail in the coffin for those who volunteer in them. The powers that be at KCC have decided to cut back all the perks volunteers get from the beginning of April.
So, for example, reservations will from April be charged. Any book that is overdue will now be charged as well in line with ordinary customers unless the item is renewed within the three week time period of the loan. Volunteers use to have a six week loan and that will also be cut to the standard three weeks.
It makes me feel despondent and I feel that the Thursday stint in now well and truly buried.
Watched the first two episodes of Series 3 of the Big Bang Theory this morning. Might have to watch more later to regain the cheerful factor.
