Strood and Rochester Visit
Jan. 12th, 2018 11:18 pmThe weather improved today with some sunshine coming out and brighter skies. I popped over to Strood to do a supermarket visit ,and whilst at the till as the cashier scanned my chocolate sponge melt , custard powder and bottle of cider, she smiled and said”Now that will be an interesting evening meal!”. So,i retorted “You want to see what i do with peanut butter, jam, coconut flakes and ham on rye bread”. We laughed. Then she told me that she one customer last week bought a box of candles, some candlesticks, and garlic. The cashier said “i thought she was inviting Dracula for dinner”.I said “Doubt it,he isn't fond of garlic, unless it was a first date and she did not want to be that familiar with him. Still, who does have sex on a first date?”. We laughed again and then i left the store. The security guard giving me a quizzical look whilst i was leaving the store.
I also did a charity shop visit in Rochester. Picked up a wallet and some CD’s for a fiver from the shop ,and then i had to walk round another second book store. I could have spent all day in there.
I took some pics as well.

Entrance at the back to the museum.

Along the High Street in Rochester.

The second hand book store i got lost in.

These are just two rooms within the bookstore, add another twelve and you can see why it claims to be the largest second hand book store in England.
