Early Bird

Up early today to get to see my cousin TIm in Faversham,Kent. I left on the 6.33 Am train from Brighton,changed at Ashford and then Canturbury to Faversham. I gave him and Karen their presents,had a coffee and a chat and left about midday.

Karen has a terrible cold anyway.

I went via London to drop over to Notting Hill Gate to exchange some books and obtained another voucher. So now with two vouchers totalling £30 i picked up some fine and cheap CD's. I then walked down Portobello Road to nip into Rough Trade and then onto Intoxica!

The stuff procured are -

Intoxica! has many fine LP's and singles - worth spending a whole day there if you had the tme and the cash to burn. Great name for a shop!!

The 30 Years of Rough Trade Shops cd has the amazing track by the Frogs - 'Sailors Board me Now'. A warped homosexual sea shanty with hilariously off-kilter lyrics. Its my track of the year. I know its a reissue but its still my track of the year. I wonder if their other stuff is as good. i don't know anything about them.
