All Over Now
Nov. 11th, 2018 12:04 pmBeen playing a selection of avant industrial noise and heavy sludge metal this morning. I have just finished the selection of skrunk filed sounds moving towards more ambient chilled out grooves, Sometimes it is very cathartic.. like any good loud rock ... especially now that all the overkill nostalgic look back one hundred years ago is over, especially with the radio that is Radio 4. I felt they went a bit over the top with it.
I did not wear a poppy, either red or white as I feel it gets politized and used by the imperialists. The other reason is that we need to respect people's right to wear (or no to wear) that symbol. I would NEVER condemn anyone for choosing to do so and it would be nice to get the same level of respect in return. Those who didn't come back (not to mention those who came back hideously mentally or physically damaged) were fighting for the right to choose. The choice. and choice, in general, is an important freedom that we have painstakingly won and should never give up.
Still, that is my humble opinion, and to honour the fallen we should have other means to show the respect, not forgetting the appaling denudation of non-combatants in all wars and not just this one.
I did note with incredulity that orange faced twat cancelled a visit to a war cemetery simply because it was raining. He shows little respect to his fellow human beings and I hope all US veterans notice this rude behaviour. Mister tangerine dream, we have outed you out, as a despicable piece of turd.
Anyway, that is my tuppence worth of rant for the day. So next post will most likely be another music blog. or maybe a review of another finished book.
It is sunny outside and I need to shower and go out to get some food items.
