A Moving Subject

jazzy_daveWe will have to move property (unfortunately) as the landlord is selling up - but i will insist it will not be before end of April, or better still May,so for the time being i will be starting a house clearance sale to get rid of most junk / stuff /etc as possible. Our American cousins would call it a yard sale. We will have been here for 2 years at the present address come May.
Well off to the Odeon this morning with GC for a free screening of a yet-to-be-released film.
Helped her out last night doing a PRS in a restaurant called "The Mint Restaurant and Music Bar". A couple of guys called Pat and Joe were playing "gypsy music",so mostly European folk music from Macedonia,Hungary,Russia,and other places plus Breton folk music as well. Also a couple of Klezmer tunes (which GC has not heard of before) - so i enlightened her on the subject of Yiddish folk idioms. They also covered some pop tunes and what could only be described as "Chas and Dave" territory (ie. English pub songs). We shared a bottle of red wine for the evening.
