Well the bank story continues. They sent me a letter and in a nutshell they rejected my claim asking for money back from thei "illegal" charging. Now most people might be deterred by this and be resigned to the fact that they did their best - well not I. Having looked at the various websites concerning this subject of "bank overcharging" and the advice thereupon i downloaded a letter template and added my own details that basically says that under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations the charges are disproportionate to their actual costs and that i threaten to take them to court if i do not receive a satisfactory outcome. So now that we have done Stage 1 to 3 we will see what happens within the next 7 to 10 days.Wish me good luck.

By the way the headline page in Saturday's Independent caught my attention concerning this very subject. It just shows how petty and greedy the banks have become. Luckily i only had to pay a tenner for my information from my bank. Read on at :

I'm sure they send that as a standard letter to everyone to try and put them off claiming.... I think perserverance is the key.....

Oh yws it is just another round in that merry game the banks try to play to put poeple off the idea.
