A half day in London doing four mystery shops on behalf of a pub chain, three of the pubs being in the city, and one not far from Victoria station. Drink only surveys this tme, and getting paid to drink, all funds reimbursed - just can't be bad!! Nice liitle job too. Also back at O'Neils today concerning the new Guinses Red. Four hours work at £60 really is good! That's more Guiness for me as well.
Whilt in London popped into Rays Jazz Shop and bought two LPs Cecil Taylor "Student Studies" (Affinity 1982) and John Coltrane Quartet "Crescent" (Jasmine LP),and from Rough Trade in Covent Garden the latest issue of Sound Projector (issue #15) which is full of reviews and articles. Also purchased a CD i have not seen before called "Flip Your Disc! Easy Listenbing" (Apollo Sounds CD 2001) and a book from 2004 "Everybody Dance,Chic and The Politics of Dance" by Daryl Easlea (Helter Skelter) for a small £3.
In all a good day shopping and drinking.
