MONDAY
Bit of a quiet day - most ly did mystery shops starting in Worthing at Wickes, then to the Weatherspoons pub in the same town for a drink only visit and then a meal at The Bright Helm, with a frre pint of ber as part of the deal. I had a strong Belgian ale called Carolus Ambrio (8% ABV). The meal was minted lamb burger with chips and it was delicious.
Found a new charity shop in Worthing, although i guess it has been there for a long while but i only just discovered it. Found some vinyl stuff at 25 pence a throw and picked up a couple of goodies (highllighted in WEIDSOUNDZ). I have passed it a few times without noticing it, it's called The Thrift Shop. Very appropiate i thought.
TUESDAY
A job in Eastbourne , and another fine warm day. Picked up a reissue copy of the "Shaft In Africa!" soundtrack which features the Four Tops "Are You Man Enough" (ABC) with music by Johnny Pate, and Betty Davis "They Say I'm Different" (Just Sunshine LP) , another reisssue of a classic funk album.
WEDNESDAY
In Worthing again,at The Orange Store, this time. Music Mania is closed on Wednesdays and nothing of interest at the charity shops except for The Thrift Shop which had the first Scritti Polittti LP prior to the one you see everywhere. "Cupid and Pysche 85" is so easy to find but not so the previous album.
Finally in Fopp the classic "Belle de Jour" film on DVD and "Innocent When You Dream, Tom Waits ,The Collected Interviews" (Orion Books).
