Just awoke to a crappy wet morning and hence did not go to the boot fair at the station as i would normally - and felt a bit tired anyway after my busy evening in more ways than one. Also, watched Dr,Who in the early hours after my PRS visit using the Catch Up TV On Demand service via Virgin Media. Concluding part to the final series of Dr.Who next Saturday. So let us not wait too long for the next series of Torchwood. (By the way,Sharon,GC's friend, is alo a Dr.Who fan).

So at the moment listening to some Astor Piazzola Lps which i picked up cheap from the Amnesty charity shop - "Live In Vienna" (Messidor  1984) and  "Musica Popular Contemporanea De La Cuada de Buenos Aires, Conjunto 9" (RCA Victor) - date unknown but soewhat earlier and is an Argentinian pressed copy.

Also from same charity shop on saturday "Sky Islands" by Caldera (Capitol 1977)

L is defrosting and cleaning the old dysfunctional fridge and freezer ready for the spanking combined frost-free new one  arriving on Tuesday. Then i can stuff it full of Ben and Jerrys or Haagen Dasz ice cream. Yum!!

There's a weird goofiness to John Simm's Master that I'm not sure I care for. And yet don't completely dislike either. Kind of ends up reminding me of Richard E. Grant in Hudson Hawk. I did catch a few episodes of "Life on Mars" between ep. 11 and 12 (through naughty means). Simm makes a dubious plotline work, I'll give him that.

Yeah i did find Simm slighlty disconcerting as a manic Master, but then if you had seen the whole of infinity and it made you go insane then perhaps it is the only way to portray the evil genius. At least he held Life On mars together - it would have not been the same without him.
