As an addendum to my earlier post cousin has finally admitted that part of the reason he has felt rough is that he feels he is going down that slippery slope to alcoholicism , and does not want to go down that route. Apparently some straight talking by Abbey this evening, earlier in the pub , has made him think about it, and that he should help Ali to avoid that same slippery slope. As Spot just said to me moments ago he has been feeling the signs of it. Recognition is the first stage to control it and abate it.

So, in my estimation, I think we should not go to our usual Wednesday night meeting down at the Dover Castle Inn this week.

I know we all like a drink , and it was his birthday over the weekend, but you can have too much of a good thing.

When I left the pub after my solitary pint I told cousin not to be too long, but the lads down there kept buying him pints.

Perhaps this will be the last post I will have to say on the subject.
