Boot Fair Finds
Sep. 9th, 2007 09:17 am A quick early visit to the usual boot fair tunred up some nice gems both in LP and 7" format - they are as follows -
Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood -Nancy and Lee (Reprise LP) plenty of good tracks inc. my favourite £2
Julie London- My Name Is Julie (MFPLP) - okay got it already on a RevOla CD reissue but nice to get on vinyl. £2
Luiz Bonfa / Eumir Deodato - The Gentle Rain OST(Mercury LP) - a realy nice soundtrack £3
Astrid Gilberto - Gilberto with Turrentine (CTI LP) £2
and singles
Cloud One - Atmosphere Strut (Contempo) - moog crazy funky disco £2
Jerry O - Karate Boog-a-loo (Jay Boy) - funky gritty sou dancerl £2
Maybe some might be found cheaper but i didn't see anything under two quid to entice me. Also the CloudOne single was available as a 12 " single on release but haven't seen one yet,as the single splits the track to its two sides.
Did see a copy of the white fronted Dudley Moore Trio album (Decca LP) in excellent condition but at £20 could not afford it today but the guy who is there every week will put it aside for me til next weekend. I know book price is about forty with "Bedazzled" being the rarest of the Dud albums. Strangely enough "Genuine Dud" is turning up everywhere now and as little as three quid making the twenty i paid for it feel quite sickening. I hope the white one remains scarce!
