A trip to Crawley was abandoned as i did not feel up to it due to spraining my leg this morning and still having this cold that will not budge.
So hobbling a bit around town i picked up two LP's from a charity shop for 50 pence each,a single for a quid and a classic Michael Jackson album for a quid. Also popped into Resident and bought two CDs - I haven't bought a shiny disc for quite a long while now.

So in the order of the shops just mentioned they are -

The Beach Boys - M.I.U Album (Reprise 1978) recorded in the year of 78 but a sound that is a throwback to their sixties surf stuff. on side one and a more contemporary sound on side two How strange? It also has a cover of "Peggy Sue" on it.  I haven't decided if i like the album or not.

Countdown Series - Nina Simone (Dakota Records 1982)

Freddie Fresh feat. The Soundtrack Kings "For Alex / I Am The Earth / Beach Best" (Howlin' Records)

Michael Jackson "Off The Wall" (Epic) needs no introduction!!

Various "Now We Are Ten" (Trunk CD) - a sampler from Johhny Trunk with 7 exclusive tracks
Various Artists - Bearded Ladies (Finders Keepers CD) - freakish female sonsmithery from 4 decades

Also the latest Mojo which has a wicked cover CD of mind-blowing freakouts by artist such as The Soft machine,Spacemen 3, The Bozo Dogs,Wooden Shjips,Acid Mothers temple,Gong, etc., whilst the magazine features Johhny Trunk page on weird record stuff - this time an album by The Addicts (a colllection of men who were  former addicts).

Puting my feet up and relaxing to some sounds.
