When I woke up this morning I was faced with the dichotomy of which pill to take, be it the red one or the blue one that would determine the reality we are in, a pandemic or not, and whether it is deterministic or do we have free will. I then uttered some expletive, put on some music, and had my first coffee of the day.
The weather has also been a fluctuating amplitude of possibilities between sunshine and cloudiness. I guess there was some sympathetic harmony with my mood as well. A variation on a theme for example. That theme which meandered through fields of morbidity via the soundscapes of Chris Meloche and the open tundra of Sylvia Hallett's improvisational sparks of sheer delight. Further evocations through the synaesthetic aspect of music emerged with bright pastoralism of Vaughan Wiliams and Delius tempered by the sludgy grunge of Tricky. Music massages all moods and so it did today.
(What the eff has been on today you are asking?)
Just intoxication with life and music I would say.
