Funky Fish and Casablanca

jazzy_daveFriday a visit to Chichester to do a survey in the foyer at Cineworld, and then from there to do a PRS visit at my favourite Funky Fish Club. Thursday night was another PRS visit but a live one to the Casablanca Club to jot down the tracks a band called Bazeado (meaning "spliff") playing Brazilian music with a jazzy flavour.
Anyway last night at The Funky Fish club (like anywhere i go to on these visits) some people wanted to know what i was doing and for the umpteenth time i try to explain my role as researcher, and i don't mark out how good or bad the band /DJ etc is but just noting what is being played so that the artists get their royalties (monies). One young lady wanted to know this too and asked if i had to write down everything the DJ was playing. Well yes of course i replied. I guess she also thought it is not much fun just writing this stuff into the logsheet and not having a dance, so she invited me for one, and then another later. She did tell me her name (but now i have forgotten) and very attractive too. Infact before i left we had a smoochy kiss - now there is another reason to going back to the Funky Fish!! Naughty me!!
