That "Like" Problem (Again)

Oh, dear. That "like" button has exploded back in my face yet again. I have lost another reader from my blog. I only kindly reminded them that after commenting how much they liked the Sarah Davachi music I posted they then add a "like" to it after they commented, to which I pointed out in my logically wired brain that the "like" was superfluous and redundant. Okay, maybe I was less tactful than I should have been, and I do suffer from some pedantry having once to write proofs in mathematics back in my open university days.

At one point, I kind of melted my dislike of it, hoping that readers would stop and think and do a comment instead. But the damn thing is too prevalent - too easy. Too fucking Facebook. Perhaps I was not in my most splendorous recumbent self after waiting in all morning for a yearly fire and smoke alarm safety check from people hired by the housing trust.

So, to whom I might offend or offended in the past tense, I did not do so with any malicious zeal. I also hope the discourse that LJ is well known for is not tarnished in this respect. It is still the site that offers the most interesting dialogues and may it contine.
