The weather has remained quite mild and dry. We have had some sunshine and it keeps receding back into the clouds and coming out again. At least it is dry.
We are having major problems with so-called shortages but this is due to the lack of drivers since Brexit made some HGV drives from Europe go back to their own countries due to new immigration rules devised by this lacklustre government. The Tories are once again being leaderless in all of this shit.
Petrol shortage: customers still panic-buying, says fuel retail boss

How serious is the shortage of lorry drivers?

Also, there is a clear fear that foreign drivers will start to return home, and become more reluctant to come to the UK, as a result of the decreasing value of sterling-based wages when converted back into the drivers’ home currency. This has happened already. COVID did not help either and there is also a real shortage of lorry drivers and that younger people are not becoming drivers. In my estimation of the lack of HGV drivers is about 70 % due to COVID and 30 % to Brexit.
But the idiots are still panicking buying fuel when it is quite available. This has also impinged upon some items in supermarkets not being available and delays in orders. I also believe that the "just-in-time" logistics of stock control have a lot to do with these shortages.
Oh well, at least I am not traveling anywhere today.
