I was in my local,The Evening Star, at around five for a couple of pints of ale,and one of the bar staff put on a CD I never would expect to be heard in the pub (or any pub for that matter) - Ornette Coleman's "The Shape of Jazz To Come" - a classic piece of avant-garde jazz form the sixties.
Previously he played one third of the three CD "Orphans" set by Tom Waits.
He's got taste.
It is even better when they play one of my mix CDRs.
Busy day tomorrow. Film in the morning at The Duke of York Picturehouse, then the usual monthly FTLC. Finally the next Brighton Brillo at the Quadrant from late afternoon to the evening.
