jazzy_daveEarly start this morning to get to Bookers to do a survey on Walkers Crisps. From 8am til 2pm but as it was a trade fair day there was plenty of titbits to eat esp. snacks and cheese,plus a sample of fine malt whisky
Tomorrow evening i am doing a corporate private party at the Quadrant for a further fifty quid. These guys like their soul and funk,with one of them being at my brillo event last Tuesday,and he enjoyed the gig so much he booked this corporate affair! I start at 7.30pm with the music being piped into the downstairs bar as well.
Picked up the next "German Funk Fieber" compilation from Rare Kind Records, this time a double LP, and is even better than the last one.
But tomorrow it is funky soul all the way.
Oh and before i forget R.I.P.Oliver Postgate. There was a superb article abouit him in the Guardian yesterday in their G2 section. Will play the "Ivor The Engine" and "Clangers" CDs tomorrow,both via Trunk Records.
