Back To Brighton via Tunbridge Wells

Saturday I took the bus to Brighton and left Teynham at about 10 am. It was a glorious sunny day after the early fog lifted. I took the Toni Morrison book “Beloved” with me to read. Well over a third of the way into the book now.

Whilst on my travels stopped in a pub in Tunbridge Wells to have some food and a pint. The Guinea Butt is one I have seen before in the town but never visited until now. I had a pint of The Sorcerer Ale and Sausage and Mash with a side order of Onion Rings. Lovely pub and lovely food.

Last night GC and I went to Rottingdean to the Black Horse, and the less that is said about that place the better.
We then saw the new house she will be moving into in Seaford and we had a drink at the local pub nearby. I had a pint of Bombardier. Then we drove over to Denton village , near Newhaven , to the Flying Fish pub and I had a pint of the usual Late Red. As it was a Shepherd Neame pub. I noticed they had Leffe Blonde on tap, which I know Phil in the Dover Castle does not have. I texted him to see if he could get a barrel, and although it is not on his list, he said he will try a one-off It is my favourite Belgian Ale , and I would be quite happy to sink a few in the Teynham establishment.

Mind you at 6.5 % ABV it would be only a few!
