jazzy_daveWhen I visited the Wetherspoon pubs the other day I was looking out for the demi-mode folks of Brighton that I know. None to be found , and probably all at the Evening Star, which I will visit later today.
I have now finished “Beloved” by Toni Morrison and will give the book away in the Star to somebody else to read. It did not grip as much as the others I have read and I doubt I will pick up any other novel by Toni.
I am now reading the fascinating and true story of the double agent Eddie Chapman , who was notorious in the last World War. It is a book I have started this morning, and is difficult to put down. “Agent Zigzag” by Ben Macintyre , one of the WBN give-aways I picked up a few weeks ago. So without further ado, I am going back to read a bit more.
