Absolutely Nothing

It was a great day for absolutely doing nothing except read, drink and enjoying the sunshine. To reiterate that old cliché , it was a halcyon day of timeless reverie , something we all should do from time to time. It works out all the stresses of just being human and staying alive, with all the shit that happens in this world, a day of contemplation and inward celebration that redefines how lucky we are in Western civilization, not to have some of the problems that beset other parts of the world.

Well , perhaps I am being a little bit self conscious , but despite all the shit that has gone my way, I am still here, ebullient and positive. Never let the bastards grind you down.

Friends like GC come very infrequent in this turmoil we call life. It is a tribute to her, despite everything, that I can remain sane and forward thinking. You cannot choose your relations, but at least you can choose your friends. Having said that, Tim is one of the best friends I can ever have as well as being a cousin.

Wow, so deep, and yet so heart felt. I think I better stop before a well of emotion succumbs me.
