Reading the Grauniad's sister paper, The Observer, today was a comment made about the forced leisure that Easter brings. Perhaps to those who are in work it may be so, but for others it is an inconvenience such as myself. Particularly, I am referring to the banks and having to wait extra days to allow funds coming in to clear this tortuously slow banking system. However, apart that little niggle, it does allow one to relax and enjoy the glorious hot sunshine.
It is rare to have a bank holiday with such good weather, and to do any chores (such as DIY or gardening),would be tantamount to disrespecting our celestial star. So what did I do?
Nothing .. just relaxed, read a book , peruse the Observer, and soak up the sun.
I did go down to the Northern Light later and had dinner , and then into the Evening Star to down a thirst quenching pint of their M&M porter. Even on a day of doing relatively fuck all you need some variety !!
