Had a lovely Saturday visiting Ashford and Canterbury to do some mystery shops. I first popped into Faversham to pick up the Satan bus to Ashford (the 666). Sold some books at Past Sentence and bought some shag. The trip to Ashford along the A251 goes through the beautiful Kent Downs and the idyllic village of Boughton Lees.

In Ashford , after lunch at a Wimpy, I popped into the Save The Children charity shop and picked up four paperbacks at 10 pence each, including a Colin Dexter Inspector Morse novel. I then caught the 652 bus to Canterbury which went through the bucolic splendour of Wye.

I must admit that Kent has some picaresque beauty spots and Wye is certainly one of them.

I have a history with East Kent. Yes, it's a lovely corner of the country.
