jazzy_daveKen Russell was a unique auteur and his films define the best in British cinema. The Devils is still one the best moves in the horror genre, his film version of The Who's Tommy is another milestone,and he showed his classical leanings in Lisztomania. His love of classical music extended to two TV films , Song of Summer (Frederick Delius) and Dance of The Seven Veils (Richard Strauss). I have a DVD of Song Of Summer which the BFI released some years back.
He even ventured into science fiction with the film Altered States, and yet still kept up the horror genre with Gothic and Frankenstein.

On a different note, I have sold another book edging me ten pounds towards the century at Play Trade so soon I will either transfer that to the bank or use it to buy presents and stuff for myself and relations.
