Given the choice I would rather travel to to the future at least a hundred years hence from now to see if we have either landed man on Mars, or that the grand unified theory is actually proven, and whether cyborgs (or androids) become real.
Then I would fast forward to 500 years from now to see if man has actually gone to the other planets and out into the universe. Perhaps by then homo sapien will have been superseded by androids and cyborgs with far greater intelligence than we can imagine now.
