Once again here is the list of the books I intend to read and / or finish during the 2014 Fifty Book Challenge. Last year I read 60 books and hope to do a similar amount this year. It was a good year of reading and a mixed bag of subjects including typography.

I'm curious - how did you go about choosing these fifty titles?

These are books i pick up the previous year randomly from charity shop visits usually. I do covert shops for charities on behalf of a security company.

only 6 women out of 50 authors?

I know, apart from Lisa Randall there are few female scientists that i know ,and particularly in physics, and it is even worse with philosophers. However, last year i did read twelve female novelists, and i am still looking out for more by Kate Moss, Margaret Atwood, Sarah Walker and so on. It was just a random fifty of all the books i have picked up in 2013 but have yet to read. I have actually bought 91 in the year and i do believe many of them are by female writers, including my first one by Alice Munro
