Zizek and Hitchcock
Apr. 20th, 2011 03:52 pmI am in the library at Teynham. Picked up one of the reservations i made a week ago - edited by Slavoj Zizek "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Lacan But Were Afraid To Ask Hitchcock".
Since for Zizek , watching a film is a more involving experience than just something to do whilst chewing popcorn. This book looks at various aspects of the films of Alfred Hitchcock from a psychological and sociological point of view, with a slight pro Marxist analysis .A cinema studies tour de force.
I have been watching the TV drama "The Crimson Petal and The White" and is another tour de force dramatically speaking. Third , and the penultimate, installment tonight.
