Robbed

I know that I went to Siittingbounre against my better judgment yesterday to the Yellow Stocks to meet Phil and Ewart the last time before New Year, but missing the last bus home meant I had to go back home by train. The problem started when, whilst I was waiting for a taxi to take me home from Faversham station, as I was too inebriated to walk otherwise, I fell over, helped by a taxi driver and another customer, and after they collected everything I had with me, bundled me into the taxi. I could not find my wallet. Anyway, the taxi driver took pity on me and drove me home. I checked everything that I had, clothing, and a bag of stuff from Rainham but no wallet which I knew had twenty quid in it. So they drop me home, and I felt ashamed, and then the taxi driver came back, knocked on my front door, and said that they found my wallet, but whilst all my cards were still in it, no folding money and no coins. I cannot prove it but I know I have been robbed because the journey at best is no more than six pounds by taxi. I feel angry because I cannot afford to lose twenty pounds. So I hope all you kind folks can help.

A Good Day

A whacking big IPSOS pay arrived today. Plus two sales from eBay amounting to thirty quid.
Also, last night during our three pints at my local Phil gave me this !!

I now have ten cards on my wall. One from Phil and one from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] qwentoozla all the way from California.

Just three visits today. One in Maidstone, one in Hempstead Valley and a pub in Chatham.

Mula!

Put the cheque into my building society this morning. The IPSOS remittance was in my account this morning, sold one more item on eBay and soon I will be in Chatham to do my exit interviews at the Pentagon Centre. I have moved the failed Saturday visit to the centre to next Saturday now, so I will get my £80 plus expenses.
So a positive start for the week ahead.

Well, a result with one of my old PPI claims with Barclaycard is coming to fruition. Contacted them and I am receiving a cheque for the high commission I paid out for the card in the next few days - £120. Case closed and much-needed money. Also, another remittance by Friday from wonderful IPSOS, who pay fortnightly, and are the company I do all these phone stores and tech visits, are paying a nice three-figure sum too - well ten visits at fourteen each is one of the better shops in my portfolio.

i worked out where that other money came from. It was my last exit poll visit at Aldi in Hythe for one of my companies. For some reason i had totally forgotten about it. However i still have not received the other money from the R company and their sister company L seems to be late now.

I also, last week, realized that a job i did way back in the final week of February for the Bensons bed shop visit. I phoned the research company with the revelation that they had sent a cheque a few days later form the day i did the shop. So they are raising a new cheque on their next pay run this coming Thursday. At least this Horsham based company apologized quite profusely and do seem to be on top of it. Okay it is only a tenner but it is the principle that matters.

It has been raining, April showers no less, but now it is bright and i am on my way to Canterbury - i just need some Ebay or Discog sales to tidy me over the weelend as i have already dug deep into that which came yesterday, with paying half towards the water bill and the electricity key meter.

Oh well, maybe Monday will bring a surprise.

It is just over a week to go when I take my sojourn to the Sussex coast. Hopefully the angel with the fish will come up trumps this week with the mula since they did say that my remittance would be within thirty days of invoicing them. That comes up this Friday. Much needed too, after such a frustrating day without a telos to inform it.

I walked back from Sittingbourne as well and have decided I am not going back to the Office till Friday. They can kiss my arse!

Today has been spent mostly in the garden soaking up the good weather we are having , which will change tomorrow and become more cooler and unsettled.

Last night we were invited up to the pub just after the football finished. After Kev and Ali left it was just us three, Phil the landlord, Tim and myself. We left the pub at three in the morning!

I usually do not play any internet games but the Song Pop app on Facebook is quite fun, Most of the categories I would not choose and I would not pay for extra genres , so I am relying on my knowledge to gain me coins from other contestants. As yet nobody has challenged me to a jazz or funk genre one.

One thing which was mentioned last night is how the Nat West fiasco is affecting Phil’s business as they use the damn bank. It got me thinking, because I am awaiting payment from Market Force (about £60) and a small one from Lodge, and I wonder if either use Nat West. I am on tender hooks and hope both or either monies are in my bank tomorrow as I need to get to Sittingbourne before ten o’clock. So I am keeping my fingers and legs crossed.

No wonder people do not trust their banks when you combine it with the revelations coming from Barclays this week. Legalised crime!

Well as suspected the money did not arrive , so I guess it will be Wednesday as usual. I need this jubilee like a hole in the head, and being of a somewhat republican persuasion, find the whole thing totally boring.

Even if I transfer some money from PayPal to my bank ( only £8 at the moment), because of the bank holiday, it will not even be in the bank till at least the middle of next week. I need a £50 windfall for the weekend

ATM Shit

Well after a good evening last night down the Dover Castle pub this morning after visiting the library to do some “computer buddying” I go to the ATM outside the Co-op shop to check my balance (which was fine) and withdraw £30. My card is returned without a problem , then the machine does what I would describe as a gurgling or wheezing sound, and after a few moments waiting for my money, the machine comes up with the message” Your money has been retained”!! Fuck me I need that for the weekend and to do the electricity key meter. I immediately phoned HSBC on the mobile and it will take 2 -3 working days to get my money back or re-allocated to my account. They have actioned it, but I will have sleepless nights till it has been resolved.I really do not trust banks.

I actually went to Faversham to the branch there but there is nothing more that they can do. Luckily I should have £16 from PayPal tomorrow and an instant PayPal one of nine quid coming in at some point today.

Obviously, or perhaps it isn’t, the ATM decided to break down at the moment it was counting my cash to put through the dispenser. Just my damn fucking luck that it happens to me, especially and perhaps a symptom of, the less than happy meeting with Lorna on Tuesday.
