I just love this quote from the rather boring composer Max Reger -

Reger on writing to a critic: “I am sitting in the smallest room of my house. Your review is before me. Shortly it will be behind me.”

That is a famous quote from the fictional Sherlock Holmes, and by way of that leads me to the good news that the TV series , with Benedict Cumberbach as the great detective, comes back to our screens in the New Year. Three one and a half hour episodes of the 21st century take on the classic tales, which will include The Hound of the Baskervilles. I cannot wait to see them.
