I was going to go and walk into town today but the weather was rather dull and we had some rain. We will probably get the same tomorrow but then Past Sentence will be open and I have some books for her.

So today I have been listening to music, doing some reading, watching a few quizzes, and some other science programs via Prime.

Payday seems far away but it is on Thursday, so I just have to hang tight until then.

A dry mild but blustery day is the summation for this weekend day. I walked into town at around 11.30 this morning and had what is known as the all-day brunch. Two eggs, two sausages, three rashers of bacon, beans, and chips. I also gulped a few pints of Bishops Finger ale as well.

It looks likely we are heading for a full lockdown for four weeks from Thursday. This means my exit surveys planned for most of the month are now cancelled. I have four visits planned this week which I will crunch up into three days - these are Tunbridge Wells, Bluwater, Ashford, and Westwood Cross.

Whist in town I noticed that they were starting to put up the Christmas lights and displays.

I assume the lights will be turned on soon.

So, once again, the government scored an own goal with the lack of testing and the lateness of the first lockdown and the measures that could have been taken. Now they are forcing another lockdown. Pubs will be closed from Thursday - unless it is voted out by the backbenchers and dissatisfied Tory rebels. I hope they lose but I doubt so come Thursday it will be bleak again.
