The Day The Earth Stood Still

Last night i watched the Keanu Reeves remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still on a DVD from Rochester. IMHO, it is a much better version than the original fifties B movie. Usually i prefer originals but this remake tops it.

I will probably watch one of the other DVD's i picked up on Sunday tonight. Maybe Memoirs of A Geisha or A Most Wanted Man.

I like both versions, but I'm always surprised at the vitriol leveled at the remake. It's good to know someone else enjoyed it.

I guess I'll have to give it a try. I had so far refused to watch it because remake. Hell, I should watch the original again; I haven't seen it in 40 years. *shuffles off to library website to check on both movies*

A Most Wanted Man is an excellent film starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who provides a great performance.
