Went down to the station market and bought 3 CD's and a double LP. First off, "Martin" Various Artists (Factory)- a tribute to Martin Hannett- which features THe Buzzcocks,John Cooper Clarke,Joy Division,A Certain ratio,New Order and Happy Mondays for only 50p!!!

Second item "Roots of Doo Wop - Savoy Vocal Groups" (Savoy Jazz 2003) for £1 which feature The Ravens,The Earls,Little Anthony and the Duponts (pre-Imperial stuff),The Falcons,The Five Embers and so on.Kulo might know this one.

Third item "Bembeya" by Bembeya Jazz who come from Guinea (Marabi 2002) - this is a bit of a real find and it was only £2.

Finally the double LP - reggae by The Royals "Pick Up The Pieces" (Pressure Sounds 2002) for £4. Prssure Sounds is only second to Blood and Fire and Trojan for excellent reggae and dub reisssues.

A good day for intersting bargains and chuffed getting the Martin Hannett tribute CD for the cost of a crunchie bar.

Off to London now - final day of the Knightsbridge/Kensington High Street/Kings Road survey.
