Jeff Keen at Phoenix

Today i visited the Phoenix gallery for the showing of some of Jeff keen's busy videos and super 8 stuff ,particularly his "Artwars" stuff which included a triptych of three 8mm screens at once in one section, something that he admitted has not done before,but it worked very well. His video and 8mm stuff will be available on a BFI DVD early next year. I cannot wait to grab my mits on one.

Kulo was at the same screening as well as curator Ian Helliwell.

After the 2.30 pm screening we left the gallery at 4pm and i walked up the London Road and popped into the Heart Foundation charity shop to see what they had and amongst the dross one lovely CD for a mere £1.Early British fifties jazz from Joe Daniels and His Hotshots "Swing Is The Thing" (Empress 1995 CD). I believe that Alasdair has two 78's by them - so once again a man with good taste merges with mine.
