Well,a bit cooler today with some rain this morning.

Did a mystery shop at The Mecca Bingo place in Middle Street today.Had to join as a member which is free, bought 2 books and had to have a meal and a drink. Only spent £8 and won £3 in the early game for two lines. Shop was worth £20 - enetered at 12.40 am and finished just before 3pm.

Met GC at the cafe in the Odeon - she was doing a survey there for Orange Wednesday customers.

My brother found a really funny site which i copied here. Thanks mate.

My other half ,for her sins, watches Big Brother. What a load of toss and crap that programme is, with people on it with an IQ of ZERO or just above. Talk about dumbing down! I just hate it. I wish i could put parental control password on the said channels it is on (Channel 4,E4 etc) but she would strangle me.

Anyway,I am in a different world with my headphones listening to some great music such as Two Dollar Guitar."Weak Beats And lame Ass Rhymes" (Smells Like Records CD) - highly recommended. Check Amazon for it.

Sunday will pop off with GC and AWN to a car boot sale as both of them have quite alot of bits and pieces to sell, and i have a few things too,not much, but it willl be a day out,and a way to hunt out cheapo stuff for the stall.

July 12th at The Hanbury Ballroom (Wednesday) the excellent Hamilton Yarns are playing plus three others.Cheap musical evening too,as it is only £4 entrance.

Look forward to Thurs 17 Aug. to see the superb Juana Molina play live at The Duke of York Cinema. I have two of her three albums so far and her use of acoustic and electronic music with a suave Portugese latino lilt to it is quite refreshing. Again thanks to THE WIRE for pointing me in her direction.

Sat 8 July at Duke of Yorks - a late one at 11.30pm two films on the history of hip-hop BEAT THIS:A HIP-HOP HISTORY and THE HIP-HOP TRAIN (about 90 mins in total).

Juana Molina has a website too at http://www.juanamolina.com which is quite a good one to trawl through.
