Had a good day in Crawley. Weather was fine if a bit cool. L went to Boots first. Lots of perfumes at very reduced prices and as i am running out of after shave i bought one by Errmengildo Zegna called "Z pour Homme" for £6.75 (usually £25).
Afterwards she did her own shopping and i sloped off to the charity shops. However the only shop which had anything remotely intersting was the faithfull YMCA charity shop. Found five albums and five singles for a total of £2.
They are -
Nancy Sinatra "Movin' With Nancy" (Reprise LP) - which includes the classic "Some Velvet Morning" with Lee Hazlewood
"Dean Martin's Greatest Hits Vol.2" (Reprise LP) - for a great version of "King Of The Road" and naturally "Little Old Wine Drinker Me"
Various Artists "Golden Ladies of Soul" (Pickwick LP)
Tavares "Future Bound" (Capitol LP) - best version of "More Than A Woman"
Alan Moorhouse and his Bond Street Brigade "McCartney Medelssohn Mancini" )MFP LP) - for an amusing bash at 'Live & Let Die' and "Peter Gunn" tune.
and the singles -
Tom Browne "Funkin' For Jamaica"
The Gap Band "Oops Up Side Your Head"
Chairman Of The Board "I'm On My Way To A Better Place"
A Taste of Honey "Boogie Oogie Oogie" - another copy but slightly cleaner copy
Chic "Le Freak"
Earlier this morning from the Mind chairty shop down St James Street three LPs for a £1 -
Partridge Family "Notebook" (Bell LP) - just for a real cool version of "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" - really!
Heatwave - Central Heating (GTO LP) - some good funk here!! Plus it has "Mind Blowin' Decisions" so i can ditch the warped single that failed to play properly at the last Bootfair Club night.
Gladys Knight and The Pips - Second Anniversary (Buddah LP)
A good mixture of stuff, some for listening and some for these DJ occasions.
Anyway L is happy with her clothes shopping and a few good bargains to boot as well.

A cool Beat girl

Yes I love shopping!
