As promised a pic of me with the shorter hair cut (taken on the way to Salisbury today).

L and i went by train to visit Salisbury City in the heart of Wiltshire (Stonehenge is not far from here). We first had a bite to eat when we arrived, and then walked towards the famous Cathedral with the tallest spire in Britain.

The weather started fine and sunny but it clouded over whilst we visited the cathedral, and a few spots of rain was felt. We walked around the cloisters and L taking photos at various moments.

So i started posing - anyway afterwards we walked back to do some shopping and for me to have a chance diggin' around the charity shops.

Noticed some wonderful sculptured plant designs in the centre such as this example -

(Notice the Heart Foundation charity shop to the right in the pic - this had the two LPs i bought - see below)

Popped into four charity shops but mostly disappointing except for one shop which had two nice LPs going cheaply - Inez and Charlie Foxx "Come By Here" (Direction) which features some nice deep soul and Northern soul style stompers, and the Francis Lai  soundtrack to "A Man And A Woman" (United Artists) which features a nice samba infused track by Baden Powell called "Samba Saravah". Total cost £1.40 for the two.

Picked up a little historical guidebook to the city and Stonehenge and a thermos flask from TK Maxx which i can take with me to Lords Cricket ground tomorrow filled with warming coffee. (it is The Friends Provident Final between County Durham and Hampshire)

Our train back was delayed by 50 minutes and we had to alter our route slightly, and came home an hour later than what i really wanted. Still a good day out in general.
