Croydon Visit
Aug. 31st, 2007 10:22 am Yesterday in Croydon doing a job. Afterwards visited Beanos first but the vinyl was not interesting, especilly in the cheap section, and others were still too expensive despite the place going to close down soon.
Then from Memory Lane Records picked up a Tyrannosaurus Rex LP "Unicorn" in their cheap box for a £1, a reissue on one of these cheap reissue labels, but in mint condition. However,101 Records turned up trumps with an Lp by The Nite-Liters,their debut akbum from 1970 (RCA Records) for £4.50 - solid funk instrumentals throughout - and a single on Dakar, Hamilton Bohannon's "Foot Stompin' Music" for £2.
Nice one!
