Favourite foreign films are the ones by Kieslowski , particularly the "Three Colours Trilogy" . Generally I find American remakes appalling and nowhere near as good. Very few foreign films translate well to American audiences anyway.

Looks like the empire of Rupert Murdoch's News International ,like the Roman one, is about to fall, and about time too! If the news that his media companies have hacked into the phones of 9/11 victims the Americans will definitely make sure his N.I. group is torn down.

Tonight watched the wonderful start to the new series of Torchwood. With it being transported to the States, and with a bigger budget through the BBC America franchise, it looks even better. With  Russell still at the helm it looks set to the darkest. The idea that nobody can die even when they have blown themselves up, or been pierced in an accident, is a terrific one, and then the problem of overpopulation is brought sharply into focus. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Just one minor thing that irritates me is the typical insular attitudes of one cousin (mimicking white van man), whom despises the French, hates the Welsh ,and thinks Eve Myles cannot act. Even when the Australian prime minister, Julia Gillard,  came on during a piece about the News of the World , Tim said that she was a bloody Welsh person, born in Barry 1961,, despite leaving the country at the age of six.  It is also possible that he hates her because she leads a Labour party down under.

He even wished a power cut would happen whilst Torchwood was on. Bastard!

Well matey I hate golf, motor sport, tennis and all that Top Gear twaddle about cars!
