Yesterday I did a round robin trip via Faversham to Ashford and from there via Tenderden ended up in Tunbridge Wells, doing a few visits.  Arrived back after 8 pm.

In Faversham I picked up some cheap CD's from the Oxfam shop, and a couple from another shop for 50 pence each. I have yet to listen to them all, but the Dorati version of the 1812 Overture is remarkably vivid with real cannons from the late fifties Mercury Living Presence range. Powerful!

Tchaikovsky* - Beethoven* - Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra - University Of Minnesota Brass Band - Antal Dorati - London Symphony Orchestra* - Deems Taylor - 1812 Festival Overture, Op. 49 - Capriccio Italien - Wellington's Victory

Calexico / Iron and Wine – In The Reins (Touch and Go)
Calexico – Feast Of Wire )City Slang)
American Music Club – San Francisco (Reprise)
Mercury Rev – Dreamer's Song (V2 Records)
Mercury Rev – All Is\Dream (V2 Records)
P J Harvey – Stories From The City Stories From The Sea (Island)
