Well, after listening to the latest CD acquisition , The Alan Hovhaness "Mysterious Mountain" compilation, one of the tracks is this beautiful and strangely eerie tune, called "And Got Created Great Great Whales", which will please my neighbour to the right as she loves whales and dolphins and always posts up on FB the cruelty that we do to these majestic animals. The composition includes actual whale song.

This one is for you Zoe Turner.

I noticed these in the Forum, Sittingbourne on last Monday and they will be here through the Easter weekend. Luckily i did not sent back in time by the weeping angel.

I was somewhat scuppered from doing much today due to signalling problems  on the rail network this morning. I was going to go to Gravesend and then Herne Bay , but as i had to meet cousin for midday to give him some money (again) the day started to unravel. In the end i visited Rainham to sell some books and Faversham in the afternoon to have a few beers,

Whilst the morning was cool and sunny , the afternoon had decidedly become so much warmer that i was shirtless sitting outside the library in Faversham for awhile.

I visited the Leading Light pub and had two pints of Westerham Brewery Audit Ale (6.9 % ABV), a strong ale of character.

Just one book found today for a mere fifty pence -

So, whilst not getting the visits done, it was a lovely warm day being out and about. When i arrived home i was greeted with a sweetener in the post. I received a cheque for £77 from a PPI claim i had made a month ago. That will be banked tomorrow.

The cold is improving too.

Robin Ince "Robin Ince's Bad Book Club" (Sphere)

I always think that enthusiasm is a generally good characteristic, but combine this with a love of science, a respect for reality, and being otherwise daft as a brush then Robin Ince would be a good bloke to have a pint or two with.

This book is made up of bits of incredibly bad books he has found surfing around charity shops between gigs.

It's a laugh and a frown at the same time. Really bad things can make their badness into a kind of good thing, if you know what I mean.

Like I said, daft as a brush.

The world would be a better place with more daft brushes in it.
