Another of those classic jazz tunes that celebrate the night time, and early mornings. Continuing the theme of midnight music, i present Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers with A Night In Tunisia.

Recorded in Belgium in 1958 the line-up as -

Drums: Art Blakey
Trumpet: Lee Morgan
Sax: Benny Golson
Piano: Bobby Timmons
Bass: Jymie Merritt

Enjoy.

It looks like i will not paid by Lodge and React till mid week next week, I was hoping that  i would get the money tomorrow but as i have not received any remittance this is doubtful.  Wall we shall see tomorrow.

I did the Tomorrow People visit in Sittingbourne, after i popped over to Faversham to sell some books.  And  yes, i bought more book.

Plus a  CD by a jazz rock band called The Quartet called Illuminated.

All for a fiver.

Last night i watched the first episode of the wonderful Jacob Bronoqsku series "The Ascent Of Man",. I vaguely remember this series when it first came out and to watch it again was quite revelatory. He was a great intellectual. On You Tube i found this summation by him and as described in the clip it is a warning from the past.

These thoughts seem even more pertinent now. -
