I arrived at the Northern Lights at 8 pm , so a bit later than i would have normally liked. Eamon, the events manager at the brasserie, had forgotten that i was doing the gig and i had to wait for a couple of ladies to finish their Swedish meatballs before i could hump my equipment on to the table. So in the end, i didn't start till just after 8.30 pm, By then i had already downed one Tuborg lager. I think i had about six of them in the end , all free!

It turned out to be a busy night and i finished dead on midnight. So here is the playlist.

Today was our monthly lunch club event at our usual venue, Bellota in Brighton. Tasty Spanish tapas washed down with beer, wine, a coffee, and cognac. As usual hop along Lesley was the last to arrive. We all virtually went for the tasty pescado dish, and i had a spanish cold sausgae dish and albigondas (Spansh meatballs). GC could not eat all her tortilla  so i had half of that as well. Another fun outing on a lovely sunny Day.

This was the moment of atisfaction after the meal. GC had left to do a mystery shop by this time , around 3 pm. We started etaing about 1.20 pm. Left to right, Mike, Graeme, Phil and Lesley.

Afterwards, i walked down the North Lianes , stopped at the JUbilee library for awhile, and then go up to the station car park where \gc had parked her car. I was too stuffed to do any drinking anyway, and as i shall be on the station concourse tomorrow i shall visit the Evening Star pub after my survey.

I did take a pic of this old geezer outside the Acroos The Tracks record shop.

Here is one of those discovries lurking on my external hard drive, a jazzy tune with children's voices, and a bit of scat singing and in that spritual jazz groove, by Haki R Madhubuti and Nation and the track Children, all ten  minutes of it. Played it last night. Went down a storm.

I also played this spiritual jazz groove by Pharoah Sanders, You've Got To Have Freedom.

Enjoy.

I was going to post some after midnight music as i have not done that for ages, but due to feeling proper tired now, i shall postpone it to another day.

Forgot to mention that on the way from Kent yesterday i stopped in Maidstone to do a chazzer visi., Bought a Michael Palin book, "Full Circle" , a DVD of Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutte" and a CD by Swedish band, The Cardigans.

Another full day awaits tomorrow. Good night.
