Starting with some pastiche of swing jazz and vocal groups we have the following Brightonians.

The Speakeasy Three - When I Get Low I Get High

THE SPEAKEASY THREE are a vocal harmony group based in Brighton (UK) - they perform mostly as an a cappella trio but are joined here by members of THE SWING NINJAS for a cover version of WHEN I GET LOW, I GET HIGH the Chick Webb / Ella Fitzgerald classic (to be found on White Mink : Black Cotton Vol 1 - http://www.whitemink.co.uk )

Next up. The Flask Mob Jazz who perform weekly at The Mesmerist  , opposite Cafe Rouge ,where we had our last monthly lunch club. It is a cover of a tune by Lorde.

Penultimate Charmed

Off to Gillingham later but for now i shall be watching Charmed for the last few episodes on the E4 channel where the final battle between Christy and Billy and the Charmed Ones ends up in a tragedy for both sides. Yep, evil Christy finally swayed Billy to the dark side.

Gillingham Visit

So this afternoon i went over to Gillingham by taking a train ride to Rainham and then walking from that rail station to Gillingham town centre. Just one problem. I was running out of time before the charity shop closed , so when i got to the end of Beechings Way (where it meets the A289 (the road that goes down to the Medway tunnel) i catch a bus from there to th High Street (a 182 bus from Twydall).

In the end i got to said chazzer at 4.09 pm and then did the second visit around 4.30 pm. Job done! Plus, amazingly, barriers were down at Gillingham station so i get a free train ride back as i did from Teynham to Rainham! All i had to pay was the £2.80 bus journey. Result! Vindication of trying to keep it fiscally tight.

So, as usual , i purchased books because at least these can be resold. One of them might interest my brother.
